Vintage Shirley Temple 17” Texas Ranger Doll w/Pin.
She is one of many from my 30+ years of collecting Shirley Temple memorabilia.
This is a beautiful Shirley. Her composition is in good condition but she does have crazing throughout.   She unfortunately has a broken left foot which appears to have been glued.  It obviously does not show when displayed.
Her hair is thick, full & curly.  She has sleep eyes but they are cloudy and her right eye has a crack.  Her eyelashes are full.  Her stringing is good and she stands perfectly on the stand (which is included).
Shirley wears the outfit she wore in 1936
for the Texas Centennial.
It is not tagged so I can’t authenticate it, but it does appear to be original.  The suede vest is in very good condition.  The suede chaps are in good condition, missing one of the six riveted fringes on the right side leg.  The tie on the chaps is pinned closed in the back.  The elastic on the shorts has wore out, so they are pinned to hold them up.  Her boots are wore and one has a small tear, but the snaps are fine; her socks are in good condition.  Her shirt has significant fraying on the left arm and a little bit on the right.  It is pinned closed at the neck.
Her belt is wore but still has a working buckle.  She comes with her holster and gun (which many times is missing).  The holster’s loop has frayed and no longer can be hooked onto the belt.   Shirley wears a replacement hat.
She wears her original Ideal Shirley Temple Pin, which can be authenticated by the markings around the rim “Ideal Novelty & Toy Co” on the top and “Her Signature” on the bottom below her name.
She has been kept in a display case in my smoke-free home for many, many years. I am downsizing so it is time for her to go to a new home to be loved as I have loved her. She is fully marked on her head and torso.
