This beautiful 18" Composition 18" Shirley Temple Doll is wearing a Plaid dress and has a lovely mohair wig with all the curls in place. Her skintone and blush look factory original. Her pupils have been replaced, so her eyes are bright, and she has her original 6 teeth. She has been professionally repainted and fully restored by RubieMae of Forget Me Not Dolls.
She will come to you with her combination undies, the plaid dress pictured, original rayon socks, and oilcloth shoes. If you would prefer a different Shirley dress from my website, I will be happy to substitute the dress for you.
Shirley Temple wore a similar plaid dress
in the 1934 movie “Bright Eyes” in the scene where she sings the ever-popular song
“On the Good Ship Lollipop”

was the first film to be written and developed specifically for Shirley Temple and the first in which her name was raised above the title.
When restoring a composition doll, I remove all the old cracked lead based paint, then I fill and sand multiple times to get a satin smooth finish. Then I prime and sand 2-3X more before airbrushing the final two coats of skin tone. An oil based paint is used to get the same look as was original to the doll. Then hair and blush are airbrushed before hand painting the lashes, brows, and lips. Eyes are restored and iris replaced if needed.
